At the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) working conference of 1996 held in Beijing, Professor Lu Yongxiang, CAS Vice President, made a working report, which sums up the Academy’s achievements during the Eighth Five-Year Plan period and defines its main tasks in the ninth, as well as major activities for 1996.
