Zhang Ce Zhang Ce was born in 1955 in Yanggao County,a small town in the northwest of Shanxi Province.In 1977,he entered into the Datong Medical College.After graduation he worked as a teacher of physiology for eight years until he joined a Ph.D program guided by professor Qiao Jiantian,a famous physi- ologist.His research involved neuroscience and specific studies of the nociceptive mech- anisms.In 1995,Zhang finished the program and was awarded a Ph.D degree.In 1999,he
