Since the implementation of its reform and opening policies, China has seen a fast development of its geophysics industry. In order to meet the increasing demands for international exchanges and to tap the international market, late geophysicist and academician Weng Wenbo started the English edition of the Chinese Geophysics Society Bulletin in 1989.
