Toxoplasmosis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by Toxoplasma gondii, which mainly affects pigs, cattle, sheep, rabbits and other animals. In addition, human beings are also susceptible to Toxoplasma gondii. Because Toxoplasma gondii infections are widely prevalent in human beings and other animals, we should pay more attention to prevention and control of the disease in order to promote the healthy development of breeding industry and the protection of people′s health. In the present article, the pathogen of swine toxoplasmosis, life history, clinical features and treatment are elaborated.
