The Grothendieck Group of Coalgebras and Semihereditary Coalgebras

In this paper, we introduce the concept of semihereditary coalgebras.We investigate the Grothendieck group of coalgebras and use it to characterize semihereditary coalgebras. Some results that are dual to semihereditary rings are also given.
