China Establishes First Space Debris Observation Center

At the beginning of March 2005, China established its first space debris observation center, Space Object and Debris Observation and Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) at the CAS Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The center would set up an earlywarning system for China's space flight.
