The fundamental principles of the adaptive random search (ARS) algorithm were introduced. A case study of the ARS algorithm of roughness inversion of mathematical model for river networks in Taizhou City with restricted data was presented. The results show that the ARS algorithm can automatically optimize and select the values of roughness for most river networks, and satisfactory fitting between water level and discharge is achieved.%介绍自适应随机搜索(ARS)算法的基本原理,并以泰州市河网为例,测试了ARS算法在资料受限条件下河网模型糙率反演的表现.结果表明,ASR算法能够自动优选出河网大多数河段的糙率值,得到较好的水位流量拟合效果.
