To guarantee the reliable and safe supply of petroleum and natural gas is the foundation of sustainable development in China. The safety consideration on offshore oil exploitation and on petroleum and natural gas storage and transportation on lands is one of important aspect of the energy development. In this paper the importance of safety consideration, the safety situation of offshore oil exploitation and safety situation of petroleum and natural gas storage and transportation, the related technologies of security were described.
