THE DELAY OF TRANSITION OF A LAMINAR BOUNDARY LAYER OVER COMPLIANT WALL

摘要

In a previous paper, a method has been developed to study the stability characteristics of laminarboundary layers over compliant walls. In this paper, the effect of double layered compliant wall and Kramer typecompliant wall on delaying the transition is investigated, and it is shown that there does exist the possibility to de-lay the transition by applying such compliant walls.
