The growth rate, fresh yield and nutritional composition of a new - type woody forage plant, big - leaf mulberry, were studied in this paper. The results indicated that this plant had speedy growth rate and strong regeneration ability, and it could produce 207.0 t fresh grass annually per hectare; the crude protein content in the leaves of big - leaf mulberry was 24. 9% , the contents of crude protein, ADF, NDF and Ca in its edible part were 23. 0% , 25. 6% , 43.4% and 1.41% , respectively, but its phosphorus content was low.%对新型木本植物大叶枸的生长速度、鲜草产量、营养成分等进行了观测.结果表明:大叶枸的生长速度快、再生能力强,每年每公顷可产鲜草207.0 t；大叶枸叶片的粗蛋白含量为24.9％,其可饲用部分的粗蛋白、ADF、NDF和钙含量分别为23.0％、25.6％、43.4％、1.41％,但其磷含量较低.
