To explore the optimum illumination environment for the growth of tulips ( Tulipa gesneriana L.) , three tulip varie-ties, namely ‘Strong Gold’,‘Dow Jones’ and‘Barcelona’, were selected, and the cultivation experiment was carried out under different shading treatments , the plant height , leaf size, chlorophyll content and other indexes were measured .The results showed that:under the condition of shading 70%, the plant height of three tulip varieties was increased obviously , stem diameter and leaf chlorophyll content were reduced obviously , leaf became longer and narrower , and their plants appeared vain growth phenomenon . Under the condition of shading 30%or 50%, the plant height , stem diameter and leaf size of tulips were not significantly different from those of the control , but their date of flowering-beginning was delayed , and flowering time was obviously prolonged .%为了探讨郁金香生长的最适光照环境，选取纯金、道琼斯、巴塞罗那等品种在不同遮阴下进行栽培试验，测定株高、叶片大小、叶绿素含量等指标。结果表明：纯金、道琼斯、巴塞罗那等郁金香品种在遮阴70％条件下，其株高明显增加，茎秆粗度及叶绿素含量降低明显，叶片变长而窄，植株出现徒长现象；而遮阴30％、50％处理的郁金香的株高、茎粗、叶片大小与对照相比差异较小，虽使始花期推迟，但花期明显延长。
