Consumption and environment: Purchase, feeding and environmental behavior. A comparative study between the cities of Granada and Huelva.

Changes in the social scale of values and other phenomena of big impact, like globalization, make consumption like an element that seems to pierce until the marrow of the present civilization. The obligatory concretion for a study as the present, makes us focus attention on the nutritional aspect of the consumption. It makes pay attention to another of the daily social keys: the health. Cult to the health and the aesthetic defines a style of nutritional consumption, in which it is reflected, therefore, the life style. We found the sumum of such affirmation in the Mediterranean diet, medical-social panacea that combines feeding and style of life.; In the same context of cultural change and globalization, and closely related to the consumption, a question arises that surprises by its simplicity and its importance, and whose repercussions are changing and will still more change the form to see the world around: our way of production and consumption, that is, the set of socioeconomic relations that govern our lives, is exhausting the capacity of sustenance of a planet whose resources we known finite, although we did not act consequently. The idea of crisis of the old way to understand our relations with the natural surroundings impregnates the majority of treaties of environmental sociology, and is that idea that motivates most of the alternatives.; These phenomena have their reflection in the local scope. We want to maintain like analytical references the social dynamics of the contemporary society, in order to expose the reality of two different cities in comparative key. In this sense, we observe, simultaneously, the real measurement in which such global processes are reflected in the daily life of the two Andalusian cities, and the social behaviors that define the global repercussion.
