We attempt to remove the analyticity assumption in the well known Hawking-Carter-Robinson-Bunting uniqueness result for regular stationary charged black holes. The approach is based on Hawking's original strategy, which is to reduce the case of general stationary space-times to that of stationary and axi-symmetric space-times for which the we can use Bunting's uniqueness Theorem. We appeal to some geometric versions of Carleman estimates to bypass analyticity in the case when the stationary space-time is a small perturbation of a given Kerr-Newman solution.
