Scope of study. This research study examined the methodology, and associated metrics needed to determine the feasibility of managing electromagnetic pollution in industrial workplaces. This was accomplished by performing a pretest survey of the EMI radiation emitted from the machines and equipment and randomly assigning the non-compliant machines and equipment to either a phase two experimental treatment group or the control group. Upon completion of the treatment, a post-test survey of the same machines and equipment was performed on both the experimental treatment and the control groups to determine the levels of EMI reduction attained and select the best method to decrease worker exposure to EMI radiation.; Findings and conclusions. By applying the EMI reduction principals of shielding and increased distance-to-source of the EMI radiation, the pretest average of 2.2 Gauss was reduced by 366% to .6 Gauss. This reduction proves that it is feasible to develop a process for managing EMI in an industrial workplace.
