摘要

Background:To determine the occurrence of pelvic adhesion and its related factors.Materials & Method:The data were collected from the hospital database of first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang medical university, Urumqi, P.R. China.500 patients with various gynecological problems treated with laparoscopic surgery during the duration of March 2012 to march 2013 were randomly selected in this study. The details regarding previous surgeries, the adhesions at operation site and the degree of adhesions were assessed. Analysis of the associated factors of adhesions was also done. The collected data included: the general information of the patients (age, ethnicity, body mass index, IUD) and past medical and surgical history including historyof chronic PID, medical abortion, menstrual history, history of endometriosis, history of intra-abdominal & caesarean surgeries .On the basis of the collected data, the incidence of pelvic adhesions and its associated factors are analyzed. Results:The overall pelvic adhesions rate was 76.6% (383/500). Results of Logistic regression analysis revealed that there were multiple factors that influence the risk factors of pelvic adhesion. The chi square value of the different factorsi.e.history of chronic PID, medical abortion, menstrual history, history of endometriosis, intra-abdominaloperations were67.144, 32.314, 32.958, 23.092, and 23.952respectively. P value of<0.05 was considered to be significant. Conclusions:The risk factors for pelvic adhesions are chronic PID, repeated abortion, irregular menstrual cycle, and endometriosisand intra abdominal surgery. Thus to prevent pelvic adhesions, use of contraceptive measures should be encouraged to avoid the risk of repeated abortion. The occurrence of PID should be reduced and the use of anti-adhesion materials post-operatively is necessary.
