This Document addressed different topics related to sustainable mobility and,rnparticularly, the experiences gathered in many cites of both the Argentine Republic andrnUruguay, mainly in connection with bicycle and pedestrian traffic and the current roadrninfrastructure to provide for safe movement of vulnerable people.rnIt deals with the traffic problem in general, especially in the metropolitan area ofrnBuenos Aires, and the positive impact of promoting alternate means of transport and itsrnsubsequent difficulties. It is worthwhile to point out that, since not all the cases havernimprovements, it may be concluded that preliminary studies and the assessment of thernroad impact resulting from the works should always be conducted to decide whether or notrnit is advisable to undertake them.
