By using the sheet of laser light and the tracing particle technology, flow visualization tests of complex flow structures for two submerged impinging jets in the plunge pool are performed. Typical flow patterns of two submerged impinging jets are analyzed by the singular topology method. In order to reveal the mechanism of these flows, The diffusive characteristics and turbulent fluctuations of two submerged impinging jets are measured by the hot - film anemometer. The experimental results show that the velocity field and the mean pressure field on the pool floor for two submerged impinging jets in the plunge pool are deferent from those for the single impinging jet. Because of interaction between two submerged impinging jets, impinging action on the pool floor for the downstream jet is less than that for the single jet.
