DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW PIEZOELECTRIC DYNAMIC PRESSUREGENERATOR FOR HIGH PRESSURE PERIODIC AND APERIODICCALIBRATION

The need for dynamic pressure calibrationrnhas been increasing in the past years. Many solutions havernbeen developed to satisfy this demand; nevertheless bothrnpresent periodic and aperiodic systems do not cover thernwhole range of needs, calling for further development effort.rnIn this contribution is presented a newly designedrnpiezoelectric-actuated dynamic high-pressure calibrationrnsystem that operates both periodically, 70×105 Pa peak-topeakrnat 300 Hz, and aperiodically, almost 50×108 Pa/s.rnConcept, design and first experimental results arerndescribed. First encouraging results foster furtherrnenhancement of performances.
