1 IntroductionThere are a number of mafic-ultramafic intrusions associated with post-collisional mantle-derived magma in eastern Tianshan mountains, Xinjiang ,NW china. These intrusions have ages of 240-298Ma and many of them host individual Cu-Ni sulfide deposit or individual Fe-Ti-V deposit. Among these intrusions, Xiangshanxi complex is unique example of a mafic-ultramafic body that hosts both Fe-Ti oxide and Cu-Ni sulfide mineralizations.But genetic relation between Cu-Ni sulfide mineralization and Fe-Ti oxide mineralization in Xiangshanxi complex remains controversial (Qin,2003; Wang et al. 2006a, b). In this paper, we present preliminary result of geology, geochemistry and chronology study on Xiangshanxi complex and discuss the relationship between Ti-Fe and Cu-Ni mineralizations.
