Origin of the Kalatongke Cu-Ni sulfide deposit, NW China

摘要

The Kalatongke Cu-Ni sulfide deposit is hosted in Permian mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the Palerozoic Altay orogenic belt, northern Xinjiang, NW China, This orogenic belt is composed of continental fragments, ophiolites, and island arc rocks between the south Siberian block and the Junggar block. A group of Carboniferous-Permian mafic-ultramafic intrusions from Xibodu to Qinghe likely resulted from post-collisional extension and were emplaced along the regional-scale Irtysh and Ertai-Fuyun Faults in the Puerjin-Ertai Terrane.
