A flat field spectrograph for time resolved X-UV spectroscopy

We present a flat field spectrograph, designed for laser produced plasma studies. This sysem is very compact, about 50 cm length from the slit to the detection plane. It is mounted on a flange of the experimental vacuum chamber. The spectrograph can work between 40 A and 400 A with two holographic gratings (1800 and 800 lines/mm) used alternatively, the focusing effect in the detection plane being given by a toroidal mirror in grazing incidence. Preliminary results of time resolved absorption spectroscopy are shown.
