Many ERP implementations have failed and two of the critical questions are, "How can ERP systems be implemented successfully?" and "What are the critical success factors for ERP implementation?". This paper analyzes the ERP system implementation of SuNing in five stages, including project preparation, system selection, system realization, education and training, as well as system improvement and maintenance, based on which, this paper identifies seven critical success factors for ERP implementation. They are top management support, good ERP preparation, alignment of business strategy and ERP strategy, feasibility and evaluation of ERP project, project management, business process reengineering, and consulting services.
