摘要

The Metropolitan Expressway is the urban networks to connect the central and the suburb,and maintains transportation in Greater Tokyo Area.To reduce the heavy congestion, especially on Central Tokyo, we made effort to connect“Missing Link” which remained on the Central Circular Route. Finally on 7th March 2015, wefinished the project of the last section “the Central Circular Shinagawa Route (9.4 kmlong)”.The covering loop name, “Ohashi Junction” connects the Central Circular Route to theMetropolitan Expressway No.3 Shibuya Route, located in densely populated areas not onlyresponse to surrounding environment including atmosphere and noise, but alsore-development integrated project and various methods which are friendly with environmentsuch as creation of greenery junction. In addition, to connect in the underground two shieldtunnels in Ohashi Junction, we adapted non-open enlargement method to reduce the effecton surrounding environment during construction.In this paper, we introduce the methods to preserve surrounding environment in the“Ohashi Junction” and “the non-open enlargement method” which connects two shieldtunnels in the underground by the non-open-cut method to reduce the effect on surroundingenvironment during construction.
