THE APPLICATION OF PV SOLAR WATER PUMPING IN INDONESIA

Under the Government program in Science and Technology Application for rural area, a pilotproject of PV solar water pumping system was set up in the Giri Tirto village Central Jawa.Women participation in the village also involved in the operation and maintenance. Thesystem are consist of 32 PV solar module, 1600 Wp Ex Kyocera Type LA 316J48, theGrundfos Solartronic Inverter, type SA 1500, is three-phase DC-AC inverter with nominalpower of 1.500 Wattwith a variable frequency ( from 7 to 63 Hz), and an variable voltage . For normal operation,frequency and electro motor voltage are managed by maximum power point tracking(MPPT). Centrifugal pump with diameter 4 – 6 inch are applied for supply water for more orless 1500 people in the village. The water are distributed through the transmission PVC pipeline with diameter 2 inch and the distance 270 meter to the water reservoir which havecapacity 10 m3, in the elevation 354 m above sea level. Up to now operation of thesubmersible pump is manage by villager and additional pump is needed by people in thevillage to fulfill more or less 5.000 people.
