摘要

The impact on power system stability of operating a large wind farm on aweak grid is studied. Two types of wind farm technologies are simulated, I.e. Fixed speedwind turbines combined with switched capacitors and wind turbines with doubly fedinduction machines. The paper demonstrates the characteristic impacts on power systemstability by the two wind farm technologies and highlights the importance of accuratemodeling.
