Motion-based Video-Coding Scheme

摘要

This paper presents a motion-based video-coding scheme aimed at data compression with the guarantee of the video quality. The essential idea is to alter video object in MPEG-4 to moving object. This scheme includes: motion segmentation, mask processing, fundamental frame coding, motion estimation and motion compensation, residual errors coding and scalable coding control. In this scheme, we present some novel algorithm in segmentation; fundamental frame coding and ME&MC. Simulation results show that our scheme achieves good perceptual picture quality for test video sequences under low bit-rate.
