Real-Time Binaural Azimuthal Sound Source Localization

We propose a hardware realization of a system for binaural sound source localization, based on a model of the mammalian auditory pathway. It is realized as a stand-alone programmable logic application. High resource costs were reduced using modified Add-and-Shift algorithms, efficiently approximating exponential decay in large regular structures.
