Using semantic web technology for e-learning

摘要

We argue that Semantic web techniques will allow much greater flexibility for creating adaptable content. We also argue that this technology makes better use of existing infrastructure. It allows for a combination of both technical advances whose primary focus is outside of e-learning and existing educational e-learning standards like IMS and SCORM. Since current educational standards support only a small amount of adaptation, we hope that those techniques can be a useful addition. The on-going research presented in this paper is part of the GigaCE project, a project that is embedded in GigaPort (http://www.gigaport.nl/), the Dutch next generation Internet initiative.
