A Study for Ranking Fuzzy Numbers by the Ideal Value Method

Many ranking methods had been proposed in the past. Most of them applied fuzzy preference relations to solve the ranking problem of two fuzzy numbers. However, there is yet no method that can give a simple ranking solution to a set of fuzzy numbers. This paper investigates the problem of fuzzy ranking with a simple distance method in a set of fuzzy numbers. By ideal values, a set of fuzzy numbers can be ranked efficiently.
