Spectral Approximation Method for Choosing 'Relevant' Eigenvalues During Interconnect Analysis

In Ms article, we present a spectral approximation method to indirectly compute the eigenvalues which have large residues in multiport admittance functions. We generalize a well known fixed point algorithm to perform these amputations via a smaller approximating circuit. The proposed algorithm is described in its natural form and adapted to the special case of RC circuits. A few experimental results are presented to support the algorithm.
