Slovak Magnesite Industry

A very significant raw materials group in the Slovak Republic (SR) represent the non-metallic deposits. In the Slovakian's export of raw materials the magnesite takes the second rank behind the limestone and cement raw materials. The extraction and processing of the magnesite on the present territory of Slovakia has been carried out longer than 130 years and had got its own tradition. In the world producer's scale Slovakia covers the fourth pace in the extraction and processing of magnesite, and there is a supposition that it will hold this place also in the future.
