Out of the tunnel—Into the Future

摘要

This paper will review some of the lessons learned from the Channel Tunnel and see whether these align with developments in the UK to improve the Construction Industry. It will look at the move towards non-adversarial contracting and partnering and the role that the New Engineering Contract (NEC) plays in these initiatives. It will also look at how the Private Finance Initiative (PFI), which the Eurotunnel pioneered, has developed.
