A new optimal technique of separating organic material and plastic from domestic waste was present with which the rate of separating plastic is over 85 %. A mathematical model of the separating process was established and the effect of some parameters such as wind speed, sloping angle of airflow on the separating rate was studied. The rationality of this new technique was validated through experimentations, and the structure and kinematics parameters of plastic separating equipments was established, with an optimal 15 m/s wind-speed horizontally and 14-de-gree blowing angle. Effect of separating technology for waste composting was analyzed, and a series of methods and countermeasures in improving the quality of composting were proposed, such as, controlling hole diameters in screen around 15mm, increasing separating rate of plastic and reducing heavy metal pollution.
