摘要

The present investigation deals with the dynamical behaviors of a parametrically excited simply supported rectangular symmetric cross-by laminated composite plates. The geometric non-linearity in the von Karman sense and damping non-linearity are considered in the formulation of the problem. The governing equations of motion are derived from Galerkin s method. Two-degree-of-freedom nonlinear system is obtained. The method of multiple scales is used to determine the averaged equations of amplitude and phase. Chaotic motion is also found by numerical simulation.
