This paper presents some new investigations and developments on aerospace components to replace the conventional materials (Aluminium and Titanium) and assembling techniques (riveting, bonding, TIG welding,..) by integrated multi-sheets SPF-DB structures. For three selected examples (a Tee-piece for a slat de-icing system, an integrally stiffened double skin for a wing leading edge surface and a whole slat section), the stepwise development approach is discussed, i.e. from the re-design of the components to the numerical simulations of the forming process, the stress validation, the tooling development, the process optimisation through the feasibility trials and finally the mechanical validation testing.
