Binder-less Insulation Panel Made of Wood Shavings for Wooden Frame Houses

摘要

Manufacturing technology of wood chip insulation panel for building use was developed. This panel can be made without a binder through wrapping a cold-pressed chip mat by plastic film. A variety of raw material such as wood processing residues, wastes, thinnings, bark, and straw can be utilized for this panel. In this paper, wood shavings with different densities were used as raw material and an optimum combination of raw material density and panel density are discussed from thermal insulation capacity and resistance against falling impact.
