The Forest Products Laboratory of the Brazilian Institute of Environment and the Renewable Natural Resources - LPF/IBAMA, with 30 years of existence is located in Brasilia - DF. Through resources and development of new methods and production processes, it contributes to find technological solutions resulting in the sustainable growth of the forest activity in Brazil. Specifically in relation to the rational use of wood in the building site, researches related with the structural and constructive systems using the forest essences and composite products are contributing to intensify the use of such abundant raw material which is wasted and poorly used in the traditional market. Facing this reality, it was conceived the Wood Pavilion, a construction that will join the main researched and experienced constructive solutions find by LPF/IBAMA and in similar initiatives.
