MAINTENANCE OF MAP DATABASEUSING PROBE CAR DATA

摘要

Recently claims for an up-to-date and low-cost map database are increasing more and more.However, these claims have not been cleared up by the conventional method up to now. Anew method to maintain an up-to-date and low-cost map database using probe car data isproposed. This paper describes and evaluates the algorithm to judge the existence of one-wayand/or 'DO-NOT-ENTER' regulations in addition to traffic signals using probe car data. As aresult, the basic method has been established to maintain an up-to-date and low-cost mapdatabase using probe car data. The proposed algorithms will have been refined hereafter toimprove the rate of correctness of judgment.
