EXTRACTION OF ROAD TRAFFIC INFORMATIONFROM ATIME SEQUENCE OFAERIAL IMAGESAND A DIGITAL MAP

摘要

In this study, we propose a new method of extracting vehicle information from the timesequence of aerial images. The coordinates of the images are varied by the flight conditions,and it is difficult to extract the road and vehicle regions. In this study, we first register thetime sequence of aerial images with a digital map, and then, we extract the road and vehicleregions by frame matching, differential operation, and binarization operation. Our methodenables the rapid analysis of traffic flow in a wide area.
