Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) technology, by which mobile computing devicesassembled on any scene can connect each other directly or indirectly with multi-hoppingby intermediate nodes without any infrastructure, is expected to be a key technology forVehicle-To-Vehicle (V2V) or Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication in ITS(Intelligent Transport System) service. In this paper, we introduce feasible servicesusing MANET technology and analyze their characteristics from network technologypoint of view. Considered its analysis and discussion, we had developed prototypesystem for some of the simple ITS services and evaluated possibility of MANETtechnology in this area
