STUDIES ON DESIGN OF MAP STYLE SIGN INCONSIDERATION FOR DISPLAYING DETOURS ANDHIGHER VISIBILITY

Map style signs afford the visual information that the user intuitively recognizes, so that thesesigns can be a device suitable for advanced information provision. The most important pointfor the realization of more effective map style sign is that drivers can easily acquireincreasingly complex information. Our researches have shown that the driver acquiresinformation in orderly sequence and wants information about how to avoid the traffic stops. Aguideline for design with high level of visibility map style sign was provided.
