ITS FOR THE 'NET GENERATION' NEW PLATFORMS OF COMMUNICATION

As new forms of technology become perv'asive among the next-generation of ITS public users (commonly referred to in the media as 'Millennials' or the 'Net Generation')it becomes necessary to reconsider common assumptions embedded in today's TTS applications to ensure that they reach these populations. Some transportation agencies in the US are exploring hogi web applications, SMS technology (texting，and social-networking sites such as 'Twitter and Facebook can be built upon to reach these audiences.
