With the rapid development of information technology and electro-optical communication industry, the demand for aspherical glass lens is increasing in the high-precision imaging. Molding rate with segmented control technology in the glass molding process (MRSC-GMP) was proposed to fabricate aspehrical lens in this paper. Based on the generalized Maxwell model, finite element simulation was used to analyze the residual stress, and compared with the conventional single-step glass molding process (GMP). The residual stress of the molded lens in MRSC-GMP is smaller than that in IGMP, which is beneficial to the service life of molded lens.
