EVALUATION AND REHABILITATION OF LOW-RISE MASONRYBUILDINGS WITH FLEXIBLE FLOOR AND ROOF DIAPHRAGMS

摘要

This paper outlines the last two phases of a joint research study performed by The University of Texas atAustin and the United States Army Corp of Engineers, Construction Engineering Research Laboratory,Engineer Research and Development Center (CERL). The study involves the seismic evaluation andrehabilitation of low-rise reinforced masonry buildings with flexible diaphragms and coordinates andsynthesizes experimental testing, analytical modeling, practical implementation, and real-worldapplication to enhance the predominant seismic evaluation and rehabilitation methodologies for thesetypes of buildings.
