Being one of the most common cause of blindness and disability of population due to vision, aging cataract refers to pathology completely unstudied hygienically. The increasing specific proportion of long-living people and population aging is associated with increasing of cataract spreading. Besides, using only surgical treatment of aging cataract treatment, home and foreign ophthalmologic service have no methods of conservative treatment and primary prevention of this ancient suffering of mankind. Certain advances in eye microsurgery have been achieved during the last years. But great material expenses in performing on such operations and psychological trauma of operated patients have brought hygienists and ophthalmologists' attention to the actual problem of searching and scientific basing of effective preventive methods and cataract treatment. In Russia the first who paid attention to certain influence of drinking water with different microelements ratio (automovites) on human organism and experimental animals were (Novikov et al., 1985, 1973, 1962; Rakhmanin et al., 1969; Krasovsky et al., 1984a, b, 1980; Gabovich and Uzhva, 1975a, b). The authors proved the influence of highly mineralized drinking water on many systems of human organism and experimental animals. Our aim was to investigate the influence of drinking water with different microelements ratio on cataract development in condition of experimental modelling in accordance with natural data.
