Since every project and client has unique needs and situations, there is no single approach todesigning a control system that works for every utility. Everything from how extensively theemployees are involved, to the method for selecting the control system vendor, can vary greatlydepending on how the utility does business and other business operations circumstances duringthe project timeframe. This paper explains two very different utilities and approaches used forthe same kind of project, with both progressing well toward achieving defined goals.
