We used two counter-propagating incoherent (non-interfering) quasi-Bessel beams propagating in a suspension of polystyrene microparticles and created so-called one dimensional optically bound matter. Due to the relatively high degree of homogeneity of the Bessel beams the created self-organized structures were up to 200 micrometers long with well defined distances between objects. Static and dynamic behaviour of each particle in the self-arranged structure was recorded by fast CCD camera and analyzed. The inter-particle distances were compared with the theoretical predictions based on coupled dipole method and very good coincidences were found.
