Abstract: This paper reports the fabrication and the characteristics of CdSe/CdS/ZnS photoconductor. The testing of spectral sensitivity of the photoconductor is also described. The relationship between ZnS content and the spectral sensitivity of the photoconductor is obtained. The results show that the peak sensitivity of CdSe/CdS/ZnS photoconductor is shifted to shorter wavelength region by 60 nm from that of our previous CdSe/CdS photoconductor. However, the sensitivity of the LCLV will be relatively lower when ZnS is mixed into the photoconductor. Therefore, it is very important to choose the appropriate content of ZnS for optimizing the wavelength shift while remaining relatively higher sensitivity. The results of the experiments are provided.!4
