Analysis of pressure and water chemistry data from thernDevonian and Carboniferous formations of the Lublin Basinrnindicates that two regional fluid flow systems are operatingrnwithin this basin. The Devonian basin is the juvenile basinrnwith compaction-induced centrifugal, lateral water movementrn(before invasion by meteoric waters), and may be classified asrnprospective. The Carboniferous basin is an intermediate basinrnwith centripetal water movement, artesian properties andrninvasion of meteoric water.rnIn this paper author presents the hydrodynamic modellingrnof hydrocarbon migration and accumulation in the LublinrnBasin, Poland. The pressure and water chemistry data havernbeen used to identify hydrocarbon traps within the Devonianrnand Carboniferous sequences.
