The proposed TOPSAT global topography mission, currently undernconsideration by NASA and the Italian Space Agency, combines InSAR andnlaser altimeter instruments in order to produce a high-resolution,ndigital topographic database for the Earth's land surfaces (1). Thenresults presented demonstrate significant potential fornaltimeter-calibrated InSAR measurement of elevations and canopy heightsnover vegetated landscapes, as could be provided by the TOPSAT mission
